Meet Our Team
Kristin Florez, MA, LPC
Hello! My name is Kristin and I am the owner of Connections Counseling. I started my career in the public school setting and spent 6 years as a School Counselor at both the elementary and secondary levels. I opened this practice in 2020 because I wanted to increase my ability to help people in need on a more personal level.
I believe that everyone can benefit from having someone to process life's challenges with, and I consider it the ultimate sign of strength to seek help when it is needed. I am trained in many different treatment approaches, and my practice is client-centered. I am EMDR trained, and frequently use techniques from the CBT model. We will work together to devise a plan to navigate your situation, help you reach your goals, and be who you want to be.

Oksana Myers, DMD, LP - Graduate Student Practitioner
In my approach as a healing professional and a counselor, I am oriented toward an empathetic, supportive, non-judgmental, and goal-oriented approach. I believe that an emotionally safe therapeutic environment stimulates the discovery of new thoughts and perspectives on existing issues and leads to new insights and behaviors that enable you to reach your goals. During our sessions, we will explore together your concerns and work toward achieving a meaningful solution to them.
